CHEESE!

Today when trying to take some photos of the girls, I said to them, "Smile" and Emma looked up and said, "CHEESE!"

Then tonight after saying her prayer, I asked Emma if she could say, "Amen" and she did! She is learning new words every day!

Groceries and Mia

Cute Lil story: She was helping me unpack the groceries (I have her take them out of the bags and set the items on the floor) and she built a castle out of spaghettio cans, cereal boxes, and some other items. Then Emma came over and knocked it all down!

Last night I let Mia into the house while the girls were sleeping (girls are allergic) and I was snuggling with her so I took some pictures. Lillian found my camera this morning and reviewed the photos and said, "HEY! You let Mia in!!!!"

Puppy Power

So the other day Lillian lost her puppy #3. So Josh went out to find another one. And he couldn't find him anywhere. He looked on Amazon.com, that dog is retired and is worth $50.00 brand new! He was sold for $10.00 months ago. I guess TYs do go up in value after a while.

So we decided to cut Lillian off from Puppy at PreSchool. Today was the first day and I was so afraid she was going to ball her eyes out. But I told her, "Remember Daddy said Puppy is special, so he is going to stay right here while you are at school" and I buckled him into her car seat for safe keeping. She was fine. She walked into Pre-School and said, "Goodbye Mommy." No crying, no whining, no screaming, no tears.... and NO PUPPY?! That is a first. I was so proud of her.

At the same time she is regressing and peeing in her underwear again. You can take her to the bathroom at a store and literally 15 min later she pees herself. I don't get it. So I promised her that if she went a whole month without peeing her pants that I'd buy her a drum set. A REAL drum set (20 bucks at walmart)

Fetch Spider

I was in Lillian's room braiding her hair and my cell phone rang. I couldn't get to it, but Emma ran into the living room and brought it to me without me asking her.

When Lillian attempts to sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" it comes out "Itchy Itchy Fider"

Pig Tails

Last night Josh told Lillian, "I like your pig tails"
She looked at him sternly and said, "I don't have a tail!"

Sunday, November 22, 2009

Crocodile

Josh likes to make a hand puppet and say it is a crocodile or a cow or something and will pretend that it is eating Lillian. So I was trying to help her out by saying, "Just spank the crocodile next time. But warn him first, tell him not to do that and then count to three. After that you can spank him" Lillian looked at me and said, "No I'm not a parent!"

Tway!

Well, Emma can say "blow" in Chinese. We are sitting here watching NiHio Kilan and I was reciting the words in Chinese and Emma copied me...."Tway!"

Where The Wild Things Are

This morning Lillian found her sonogram pictures. She asked me what it was. I said, "That's you when you were inside Mommy's tummy." We went through the whole album and I showed her what each part was. She was very interested and loved the ones of Baby Emma too. Lillian then said, "That's me in your tummy, you ate me up! It's dark in there."

Butterfly

There was a monarch butterfly stuck in the headlight of my Jeep. When I picked Lillian up from preschool this is the conversation that followed:

Lillian, "There is a butterfly in your light"
Me, "I accidentally killed it"
Lillian, "You made it dead? Why? It was a nice butterfly!"
Me, "It was an accident. I was driving, he was flying and he didn't see me"
Lillian, "What? Did he not have EYES?"

Natural Education

Lillian, "What's that?"
Me, "My bra"
Lil, "What's a bra?"
Me, "It holds my boobies in place"
Lil, "I don't want to see your bra"

Dinosaurs and Trash

So Beth Reed was down visiting and we took her and the girls out to the TREX restaurant in Lake Buena Vista's Downtown Disney. There were jellyfish hanging from the ceiling and Josh asked Lillian where Spongebob was, and she replied, "The dinosaur ate him!"

Tonight at home I was sharing a Nutty Bar with Emma, and when I was done she took the trash and walked over to the trash can and threw it away! She gave me the biggest smile!

Gender confusion

I asked Lillian what daddy was doing, she said, "he is going potty. He is a big girl."

In other news, Emma walked on her own without me coaxing her today. I was working so I didn't get any video. Hopefully tomorrow

Wheels

Grandma KK was driving and said, "I don't know why that white car can't pull up ten feet." Lillian piped up from the back, "those aren't feet, those are w h e e e e l s"

I asked Lillian if she finished her taco. She said, "yes, it is in my belly button"

Red Means Stop

So I went through a yellow light and it turned red... From the back seat I hear, "Hey that was red!" I laughed and said, "well, it was yellow and I didn't have time to stop." She pipes back, "Yellow means slow down! Green means go!"

Quotes from the three year old

These are from Grandma Cathy who Lillian and Emma are staying with this week

We were eating breakfast and I said Jehovah gives us our food, and she said "He does not! My mom buys it at the store!"

Papa Steve gave Emma's fingers a tiny little smack because she wouldn't leave the stereo alone and Lil got mad and said "Only my Mommy and Daddy can do that!"

I told her if she peed in her pull up I would have to give her a spank, and she said "No, you won't! You're too nice!"

She wanted to help Papa Steve unload the trailer, but I told her she didn't have big muscles like him, and she looked down, pushed out her belly and made it big and said "See, I have muscles like him!"

Lilly!

At Shaufon's reception is the first time I've heard Emma call out to Lillian and it sound like, "Lilly!" This morning I swear she also said, "Sit up" she says, "what's that?" "Thank you" "up" "bottle" and yesterday morning I think she almost got "nose"

The Little Personality

Last night Josh started growling at Emma and leaning towards her, then she'd growl back and lean in towards him. It was very funny. Then she started growling at me and I'd pretend to be scared and she'd laugh and laugh. Then she'd growl at me again and I'd pretend to be scared and she'd laugh and laugh. Then she'd growl at Lillian and grab her. It was great fun.

That's What I'm Sayin

So tonight while eating dinner, she wanted her pizza folded like mine. So I folded it in half and handed it to her and she said, "It's like a taco. A PIZZA TACO!"

Then.... hopefully I can remember this correctly later and come back and update it... but she asked me a question and I said something like, "Yeah, that's what I'm saying" and she said, "No, that's what I'M SAYING!"
I wish I could remember what it was about though

Thunder

Tonight Josh was trying to reassure Lillian that the thunder can't get her. Lillian said, "The thunder is getting me, in my ear!!

The Stupidity of the English Language

Today I got a Happy Meal toy and gave it to Lillian. I said, "It is for the both of you." She said, "The both of me?" I said, "No you and Emma, the both of you" and I pointed to them both.... "Ohhhh the both of US!"

So Tired

Tonight while snuggling before bed Lillian said, "I am so tired from cleaning my toys up and I am so tired from you yelling at me." (to clean the toys up) hahaha

At Least She Used It Correctly In A Sentence

You know when they say to watch what you say around children? Lillian just screamed from the other room at my work, "Mommy!!! There's a freakin' bug!"

Monday, July 13, 2009

Spit & Giggle

It's probably nothing for most parents, but I'm really happy that Lillian is now spitting her toothpaste into the sink instead of swallowing it.

Also we've started brushing Emma's teeth and she giggles so much (I think it tickles her gums). When she doesn't want to open her mouth up, I'll say, "Do what your big sister does" and Lillian will demonstrate and Emma will follow along! Emma adores Lillian.

You say I'm beautiful, well I can't help it

(Title is the lyrics to Dross one of my favorite SP songs)

Anyway... tonight in Lillian's prayer she said, "Thank you for mommy and daddy to be at work, and thank you for Lillian be pretty." Afterwards I said, "Did you thank Jehovah that you are pretty? And she said, "yup!"

She always says, "I'm perfect" after she puts a dress on and I brush her hair. The other day she got so mad at me because she said, "I'm perfect" and I was in a weird mood and said, "No you are not, you are nowhere near perfect, nobody is perfect" and she went crying to Josh who reassured her that she is indeed perfect.

What is worth more than quarters?

Lillian really likes money. She likes to play with it, all the time.
So today she was playing with some money on the table and I heard her say, "These are quarters, these are nickles, and these are diamonds" I looked over because I thought, "diamonds?" and I realized that she meant "dimes"

Green Means GO!

Lillian and I play the Red Light Green Light game where you stop and go when the person says the color out loud. So she knows green means 'go' and red means 'stop'. Today when approaching a traffic light she said, "Yellow means HURRY, GO FASTER!"
Josh looked at me and said, "I didn't teach her that, did you teach her that?" I looked at him and said, "I didn't teach her that, so who did?"

4=1

Today I took the girls to work with me because Josh had an interview. Lillian knows that there are snacks for sale at the shop, so I told her that if she brought HER money, that she could buy one. So we got into her piggy bank and I told her that she needed four quarters to buy a snack.

So we counted them out. I said, "The snack costs one dollar, four quarters (the big ones) equal one dollar"

She kept the four quarters in her pocket all day. Then about an hour before we left I took her to buy her snack. I asked her, "How many quarters make a dollar?"

"FOUR!"

I like when she actually listens to what I'm saying and REMEMBERS it!

The Lion

Today during the Watchtower study Lillian was paying attention because she made up her own comment (she didn't give it though, she got to say something else in the microphone). She heard them talking about Satan is roving about like a roaring lion and she said, "I want to answer, 'The lion!'"

Today I swore that Emma tried to say, "Thank you" when I handed her a teddy bear

The other night she was cracking me up because I had Emma just in a diaper because of how hot it was. And she would sit there and grab her big belly and look down at it. It cracked me up, but I didn't get any photos.

Josh has been a stay at home daddy all week and has been doing great getting Lillian to use the potty. He was even brave enough to take her to the pediatrician in underwear. Not a diaper, not a pull up, real big girl underwear! She's even taking long naps without accidents and even the whole night sometimes! She will wake up in the morning and go straight to the potty.

Lillian is now 37 inches and 32 pounds and Emma is 29 inches and 21 pounds!

Lil is obsessed with the "Rainbow Connection" song and Annie's "The Sun Will Come Up Tomorrow". But she doesn't know the original versions, she listens to the punk version by "Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies"

Tonight I opened the pantry and asked Lillian what she wanted to eat for dinner and she said, "Brownies!"

Nothing Gets By Her

Today while flipping through channels on the DVR menu it landed on the Noggin channel, now realize the Noggin channel did not turn on, it was just the menu screen showing you what was on that channel. She saw the teeny tiny icon at the top right of the menu that said "Noggin" and she started getting excited and screamed, "MY SHOWS!" and then when we passed by she said, "awwwww :("

New Words & Other Random Updates

Emma has added "Uh Oh" to the list of words that she says. She also understands and responds to "Share" and "High Five" as well as "Pati-cake" and "Clap." She will also head bang you if you ask for kisses. She has four teeth coming in the top, the two on the left are coming in faster than the two on the right, so she's looking a little lop sided.

Lillian is working on her Spanish. She knows Verde, Azule, and Roho (Green, Blue, Red). Although sometimes you have to remind her. I'm also trying to teach her "Ti Amo" which I think is a form of "I love you" At least on Dora "Ti Amo Papi" Is translated "I love you daddy"

Today she saw a humming bird on TV and thought it was a dragon fly. When Josh told her that it was a humming bird she asked, "A hunny bird?"

The other day when we were on our way home from the water park she told Daddy, "Put your shirt on!" Josh said, "Is it gross to see me without a shirt?" and she said, "YES!"

We've successfully had almost a week of Lillian wearing underwear around the house. Mostly out of necessity because we ran low on diapers. But she only had two accidents and even made it through a nap with underwear on. So I've been proud of her. She still wears diapers when we go out because she just doesn't think about the bathroom with all the external stimuli. We'll cross that bridge once we've mastered it at home. I'm just proud that we've gotten this far. I was beginning to worry that she'd never understand.

Lillian is also getting really into dancing. She actually moves to the beat of the music and you can tell that she flows with the tempo and mood. I want to get her enrolled in dance classes as soon as I can. I will just have to start looking at prices.

Surprise!

Lillian is playing in this huge box that her kitchen came in. She put herself into the box and then told me to open it and said, "Surprise Mommy!" I told her, "Lillian, you're the best surprise ever!"
Then she said, "And hamburgers!"

The First Spiteful Jealousy

So today I moved out Emma's clothes that don't fit her (I need to figure out a way to get rid of the majority. Yard sale anyone?)

Then I unpacked to large boxes of Lillian's old 12 month clothes and filled Emma's drawers back up. Then I finished moving my dresses from the closet to my new closet. After that I took down all the dresses that didn't fit Emma and moved some of Lillian's old dresses from her closet into Emma's closet.

When I was telling all this to Josh on the phone Lillian overheard me and said, "I don't want to share with Emma!" I said, "What? Would you rather me throw your old dresses away?" She shook her head yes and re-emphasized, "I don't want to share my dresses with Emma!!!"

Baker's Man

This is what I just heard Lillian sing to Emma,
"Patti-cake patti-cake
bake for a man"

Imagination

Lillian just held her plastic cow up in the air and said, "Help me! I am in a tornado!"

This morning Daddy made Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast. After getting pictures of it, Josh asked me to cut up Lillian's for her. She got so upset that I cut Mickey that she started bawling and went to her room and climbed into her bed.

Clap, Clap, Clap

Lillian loves to teach Emma things. SO she likes to grab Emma's hands and show her how to clap. Each time Lillian repeats the Dora phrase, "Clap, clap, clap!!!" Now every time Lillian sings Patti-cake ema starts clapping. On top of that, this morning Emma grabbed her feet, started clapping them together and made a noise that sounded like she was saying, "Clap, clap, clap!"

Lunch and Dinner

Josh watched both Lillian and Emma for 14 hours yesterday, while I was out helping photograph a wedding with a friend. When I got home I asked Lillian what she ate for lunch. She replied, "Popsicles!" When I asked her what she ate for dinner she said, "Popscicles!" Josh was laughing so hard, especially because that is NOT what she ate. She was trying to get Daddy in trouble

Disney

During Lillian's special day at the Disney parks, every time we walked up a ramp she would say, "We are going ariba!" (Spanish for "up") Every time we walked down the ramp she'd say, "We are going abaho!" (Spanish for "down")

When we were on the monorail she told Daddy, "This is my favorite day!"

A Trip To the Bathroom

This is the conversation we just had.... It's great to be three

"Lillian, I'm going to the bathroom"
"I want to come"
"But I have to poop"
"I want to see you poop. I like poop"
"Okay"
"You pooped! Good job Mommy! You made it brown!" *gag* *cough* *gag* "Ewww nasty. You're nasty! I flush it!"

Bye Bye

Emma has been waving to people for about a month. But today when she was talking to Daddy and he was about to hang up she said, "Bye Bye" clear as day!

Monday, May 11, 2009

Oh Shoot

So at some point I dialed Josh, and the voicemail picked up instead of him, and I must have pressed a wrong button or something because all you hear is me saying, "Oh shoot" and then in the background a little voice saying, "YEAH! SHOOT!"

Josh laughed so hard when he got the voicemail that he recorded it onto his little voice recording machine

Quick Update

The months of March and April have been crazy. In the past month Emma has started playing Peek-A-Boo. Lillian now counts to ten in Spanish, sings "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "Row Row Row Your Boat" and "Patti-Cake". Emma has two bottom teeth and eats anything and everything! She is sitting up amazingly well, still not crawling, but she gets around. She loves to take a bath and doesn't seem to mind when water gets in her face. She loves being outdoors and is generally a quiet and chill baby.

Little Surprises

At our friend's wedding Lillian pointed to the table of presents and said, "I like surprises!" So Josh told her, "No, those presents are for Jon and Michelle." To which she replied, "But there is a little surprise."

Mana

Every night we read a small story, normally out of the Book of Bible Stories. Every night I try to ask her if she remembers something from the night before. A few nights ago we read the story about the Israelites receiving mana from heaven to sustain them. So tonight when we read about the ten commandments I asked her if she remembered what the mana was and I pointed to it in the picture. She said, "Yes! Food!" I am so proud of her. Normally she pretends like she knows the answer, and then either babbles something or after saying, "Yes" she will say, "I don't know."

Socialite

Today while in a double drive through line, Lillian asked me to roll her window down. I asked her why. She said, "To say hi to the people!" Are we sure she is my child?

Emma says Emma

No joke, Emma now says, "DaDa, MaMa, PaPa, and Emma"

Red Jeep

Today when getting the oil changed in our Jeep Lillian told me, "We need a new a new car. We need a red car, a red Jeep. I don't like blue Jeep." Ten minutes later she changed her mind and said, "I like blue Jeep, we don't need red Jeep."

Back

Lillian was tickling emma so I grabbed emmas hands and made her tickle lillian. I said, "Emma is tickling you back" and lillian said, "That's not my back, that's my stomach"

Good Job Mommy

So Lillian and I are in this huge echoey bathroom at a packed restaurant on a Saturday night. When it is my turn to use the bathroom Lillian says in a loud happy voice, "You going pee-pee Mommy? Good job! You made the potty yellow? Good job Mommy!"

Saturday, February 14, 2009

I'm Not Talking To You!

Today out in field service Lillian kept asking Whitney for "Moneys." So Whitney gave her two quarters. Lillian starting asking for more, and I said, "No." Lillian looked at me and said in a snide little voice, "No Mommy, I'm talking to WHITNEY!"

When I am on the phone with Josh and I let Lillian or Emma talk to him, I say, "Okay, I'm back" when they are done with the phone. Now Lillian is letting Daddy talk to her Kitty and Puppy. When she puts the phone back up to her ear, she exclaims, "Okay! I'm back!"

Today on the phone with Josh, she hit the mute button with her face. So you could still hear him saying, "Are you there?" You could hear the aggravation in Lillian's voice rise as each time the question was asked, she said louder and louder, "I'M RIGHT HERE!"

She's getting to the point where she repeats everything you say... literally everything. She sounds like a parrot sitting in the back seat. It's funny to hear her repeat phrases like, "That's messed up", "So adorable" etc

Thursday, February 12, 2009

Bedtime Excuses

I let Lillian stay up past her bedtime because she took an awfully long nap today. When I told her that it was time for bed, she looked at me and said, "I'm TOO BUSY to go to bed!"

I wonder where she's heard that from ;)

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

Potty Mouth

I am siting there and I hear Lillian say to herself, "I'm not pooping, I'm peeing." I look up and say, "If you are peeing, then go use the potty!" So she dissapears. A few minutes later she comes out and says, "I pooped! I will show you!" So I sang her praises and let her call her daddy and her grandmothers to let them all know that she did it, "All by herself" literaly!

That's Funny

Lillian and I are watching "The Office" that showed after the Superbowl and Lillian said, "That's Funny!" She laughed at Pamela throwing that cat and it falling through the ceiling

She's Josh's kid!

Mia

Lillian walks around with two stuffed kitties. When you ask her what the big kitty's name is, she says, "Mia." When you ask her what the little kitty's name is, she says, "MoreMia"

Tracing

Today Lillan traced her name in her notebook with no encouragement from anyone. Then Josh drew some dashed lined shapes for her to connect the dots and she traced a star, triangle, and heart.

Saturday, January 24, 2009

Balloon + Blimp

Today is the Rolex Race and there is a blimp hovering in the sky. Lillian called it a balloon and Josh told her that it is a blimp. She cannot pronounce blimp, so it comes out, "bloomp"

French Braid

I tried to french braid Lillian's hair twice and failed miserably. Finally I gave up and said, "I can't do it." Lillian patted her hair and said, "It's perfect."

Bathtime Sayings

While scrubing Lillian's head in the bathtub, she said to me, "Ow Mommy, that hurts. That is NOT NICE!" Okay, so she did learn that saying from me.

Today when at Jennifer and Nathan's house, she called Jennifer, 'mommy' and Nathan, 'daddy.' I think she understands that they are Jordyn and Connors Mommy and Daddy because she doesn't call our other friends that when they are watching her, and our other friends are childless. Maybe she just couldn't remember their names and just bestowed them the authoritative title.

Emma is 14 lbs 8 oz and 27 inches long. She will be six months old in a few days

Sqeeks and Squaks

Today Lillian was sliding around on my tile floor and going, "squeee" when she got to the end of her slide. No clue where she learned that sound effect. I guess TV.

She's also gotten so good at the order of Noggin programming, that in the morning when she's eating breakfast... when Sunnypatch came to an end she started screaming "Maggie and the Ferocious Beast" and she was right, that is what was coming on next.

When we went to meet Josh at his truck, I told Lillian that we were going to go pick daddy up. She said, "NO! He's too big!" (he's too big for her to pick up hahaha)

Later on when Josh was home and we turned on the TV, it was on channel 134 (Noggin) for about 4 seconds before he flipped the channel. No image, just 4 seconds of sound... and she yelled "Blues Clues!" We checked the program, and sure enough. She was right. I looked over and called her my autistic child.

Later on we were flipping channels and we came across a preview for James Bond Octopussy, and James Bond was dressed up as a clown. She started shouting "Mickey Donald! Mickey Donald!"

Stories and Gas

I just asked Lillian to read fussy Emma a story. So Lilian got a book of her shelf and started with, "Once upon a time."

Then when helping mix the biscuits, Lillian let out a fart. I said, 'Did you just fart?' she smiled and said, "Nooooo Emma farted"

Some Random Lillianisms

There were so many things on Friday that I wanted to write about, but I didn't text them from my phone, so of course I've forgotten most of them.

When we were discussing what to eat for dinner, Josh asked Lillian, "What would you like to eat for dinner?" There was this long, "hmmmmmm" from the back seat followed by, "Chocolate?!"

The other evening Lillian was snuggling with Josh and she was sucking her thumb. Josh asked her if her thumb tastes good. She said, "No" so Josh asked, "Then why do you suck it?" Lillian rolled her eyes and let out the biggest exasperated sigh possible.

There's so many more... we are just trying to remember them all

daisy or Daisy?

On Tuesday Lillian asked me to draw a daisy. So I drew a little flower. Then she said, "No Mommy. You need eyes"
So I drew eyes on it.
"And mouth"
So I drew a mouth on it.
"And nose"
So I drew a nose on it.
I'm wondering why in the world a daisy needs to have a face on it.

Then she pointed next to it and said, "Now draw Oswald"
Ooh, she meant Daisy the character, not daisy the flower! (although the character is a flower)

Boogers=Crackers?

I just caught Lillian picking her nose and I asked, "Why are you picking your nose? Are you digging for gold?"
Her eyes light up and she replied, "YES! Goldfish! I want some crackers, some goldfish crackers!"
Hahaha I would have never associated a booger related phrase with a yummy Pepperidge Farm cracker.

Excuses Already

Last night Lillian was extra whiney, so I had to take her away from people and put her in time out. I was trying to explain to her how she was behaving badly and how I expected her to behave. She started throwing excuses at me;
"I'm afraid!"
"of what?"
"Afraid of thunder!"
"There is no thunder"
"Afraid of lightning!"
"There is no lightning"
"Afraid of RAIN!!!"
"THERE IS NO RAIN! You should be afraid of me!!!!"
"Afraid of you?"
"Yes, because I'm on the verge of spanking you for giving me excuses"

Then today I told her not to step on the clothes that were on the floor getting ready to be washed (she had her big cowboy boots on)
She looks at me and says, "Afraid of airplane"... the airplane had gone by over 5 minutes ago! I told her, "Instead of giving me and excuse, why can't you just say, 'Okay Mommy, I'm sorry'? ARE you sorry?"
"NOPE"

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Then I asked her if she wanted a turkey sandwich for dinner. She said, "Yes, and Micky Mouse cereal" (this is what she calls Rice Krispies since he's on the box this month) I told her, "You've already had three bowls today." Right away she shot back with, "No! Only two!" And she was right.... she did only have two bowls today. Smart kid. Not only can she count, she now knows what the numbers actually mean.

Oh, and last night in her prayer she thanked God for "dinosaurs" and "Yo Gabba Gabba" >_<

Too Much TV

Our TV is about 5 years old, and it takes about 20 seconds or so for the picture to appear when you turn it on. The sound comes on almost instantaneously though. So today when I turned on Noggin for Lillian, she started screaming "Maggie and the Ferocious Beast" before the image even appeared on the screen. (although it doesn't sound anything like that)She knew it was them just by the voices! Do you think she watches too much TV.

Later on she asked for tea. I told her that I didn't have any. She looked at me blankly and said, "Go fix some". Alrighty then

Upside Down

This morning while picking out books to read to Emma, Lillian flipped out that one of her books was on the shelf "up-down-side", so she had to pull it down and flip it the right way to put it back on the shelf.

Also Lillian's pronunciation of the word "snuggles" is "nug nols"

Today when I told her that Daddy got to eat lunch with some friends of ours, she said, "NO! Daddy at work in his truck!"

"Nice Hair"

This morning I woke up to Lillian stroking my hair saying, "Nice hair, mommy. Like a princess."

This week Emma has been going back to two bottles a night instead of one. For a week she was eating at 9pm and then sleeping till 6am. It was heavenly. Now she's back to eating at 1am and 6am. Last night when Lillian said her prayer I swear she thanked God for "Lilly's Shows" (ie the Noggin channel)

In good news, Mia came home after being missing for 6 days. We had toured the humane society and called all the ones that are full (no kill shelters) but she wasn't there. We found a cat who looked exactly like Mia except she had a curly underbelly. Lillian was so upset when we left the shelter because she thought we were just leaving Mia there. This morning I was in the kitchen getting something and I saw a white ball of fluff in my back yard. She returned!

First of Many

Last night Lillian said her own prayer without my coaching and you could actually understand most of it. She said, "Dear Jehovah, thank you for the day. Thank you for daddy, and his work truck. Thank you for Emma.....(unrecognizable babble in here)... We love you, Jesus name, Amen!"

Today when we were grocery shopping and I was loading the truck with the groceries she started freaking out about her pear. I thought she was just mad that I took the bag from her and put it in the car. But when I closed the Jeep door I saw a pear laying on the ground. She was telling me that I dropped a pear! What a good helper.

Then when she woke up from her nap she came running into my room and said, "I want my fruit please!" I asked her which one and she said, "GRAPES!" then as I was washing the grapes and pulling them off the stock, she proceeded to tell me about the monster that she was afraid of. I asked her what color it was, and she said, "BLACK!" I'm thinking that she must be afraid of shadows in the dark. I was deathly afraid of them when I was little, and slept with a night light on until... well until I got married! HAHA

Today Emma found her big voice. She was talking really loudly and it was so cute. I got a few minutes of video
