A couple from the past week

Emma to Lilly: "You're stupid!"
Lilly "Mommy, Emma called me a bad word!"
Me: "Emma, apologize to Lilly and tell her that she is not stupid"
Emma: "I'm sorry Lilly. You aren't stupid anymore"


Earlier today Lindsay D was wrapping presents, and was letting Lillian play with tape. Lindsay let Lillian put tape on her mouth, and then Lillian said, "‎"I need bigger tape for my big mouth"


Lillian: growls like a bear
Me: "ahh a bear! I'm scared!"
Lilly: "don't be scared. I can't eat you. Your head it too big for my mouth. See?" opens mouth and places it on my head

My 4 year old is so obsessed with not wasting electricity that the other morning she came into my room in hysterics crying because Josh left for work and left the living room light on. This morning she tells me that he remembered to turn the light off and save power. She is going to need therapy by the time she is a teenager.

Mary Had What?

I was trying to teach Lillian and Emma the song "Mary had a little lamb" in anniversary of Thomas Edison... and Emma sang, "Mary had a little ham"

Emma's Name/Pizza

Friday when I picked the girls up after work, one of Emma's teachers told me that she asked Emma what her last name was, and Emma replied, "I am Emma all the way!"

Today while making dinner
Me: "I'm making Pizza"
Lillian: "Are you going to roll the dough?"
Me: "No I'm not making them by hand, I just have to put them in the oven"
Lillian: "They make themselves? It is like MAGIC!"

Cranky Butt

Me to Emma: "You are a cranky butt"
Emma: "I'm not a butt- this is my butt" (points to butt)

New Job!

So today I started a new job that will better use my field of expertise... when I walked in I was surprised that Josh was making dinner for me! This conversation followed:

Lillian: "Mommy we are making muffins for you!"
Josh: "Lillian-So why are we making dinner for Mommy?"
Lillian: "I don't know"
Josh: "What are we celebrating?"
Lillian: "Food?"
